Police seized drugs including heroin during Operation Lapel

Ten people have been arrested during a police operation which recovered the largest amount of heroin ever seized on Shetland.
Officers from the Grampian and Northern Constabulary forces seized heroin, ecstasy and cannabis with an estimated street value of £25,000.
The raids took place at a number of addresses in Lerwick on three separate days this week.
Operation Lapel lasted several months and also involved use of drug detection dogs.
Detective Sergeant Mark Mackay led the investigation.
Shetland Area Commander Chief Inspector Andrew Cowie said: "There is no doubt this is a significant seizure of controlled drugs and I would like to thank
officers from both Northern Constabulary and Grampian Police for their efforts.

"We will continue our fight against this menace to our society and work hard to bring these people and others like them to justice.
"It is our intention to ensure Shetland remains a safe place to live and work.
"We continue to be interested to hear from anyone who may have information regarding the supply or misuse of illegal drugs and would urge people to contact us."
A large quantity of cannabis resin was recovered from industrial premises in Lerwick on Tuesday.
The following day, a quantity of heroin was recovered from an address in Lerwick and on Thursday drug dogs helped recover heroin from another industrial premises in the town.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
