Murder police release woman
Agnes Hanrahan
Mrs Hanrahan may have opened the door to her attacker
A woman who was arrested on suspicion of murdering a 71-year-old woman in Cheshire has been released.

Agnes Hanrahan was found dead with head injuries at her home in Baguley Avenue, Widnes, by a relative on 8 December last year.

Police said at the time she was not the kind of person to let strangers into her home and may have known her killer.

A 52-year-old woman from Widnes was arrested on Tuesday but released without charge.
