Armed robbers tied up a mother and her baby when they arrived to open a working men's club in North Yorkshire.
The woman was with her husband and another woman when they were attacked at the club in Northallerton, just before 0800 GMT on Thursday.
The masked robbers had a gun and a baton and were already in the building in Elder Road when the staff arrived.
One of the victims broke free after the men escaped and phoned for help. The baby was not harmed during the raid.
North Yorkshire Police said the adults were left shaken by their ordeal.
A spokeswoman added: "It would appear they [the robbers] had been in the building for some time.
"We do know they entered the safe but we do not know as yet if any cash or goods were taken."
