Drugs seized in dawn raids
Police raids
Operation Eagle targeted criminals across Swansea
More than 30 people have been arrested and a large amount of drugs seized after a series of dawn raids in Swansea.

Police say they found Class A drugs and recovered stolen property as part of Operation Eagle launched on Thursday.

Sixty-five officers were involved in the early hours raids which targeted properties across the city centre, Gower and outlying areas.

Chief Inspector Julian Williams said 32 arrests had been made so far, but the operation was continuing.

"Using search warrants we have arrested people wanted for burglaries, car crime and supply of class A drugs," he said.

"This is an operation that has been on-going throughout the day in Swansea.

"We are very pleased with the results. We have recovered a quantity of drugs along with stolen property.

"It's a fairly big operation not just in terms on of the number of officers but also due to the success that we have had."
