Teenager killed in tanker crash
A teenager has been killed in a collision between a car and a tanker lorry.

The 15-year-old girl was a passenger in a Ford Fiesta which was involved in the accident in Staines, Surrey, on Wednesday night.

The accident happened on the A30 London Road, between the Crooked Billet roundabout and Ashford Hospital crossroads at 2330 GMT.

Police said Toni Franklin, from Feltham, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closed

The driver of the Fiesta was taken to St Peter's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have said the Fiesta may have been travelling with some other vehicles and want to speak to anyone who may have seen the manner in which they were driven.

The road was closed overnight while police investigators examined the area.

Officers from Surrey Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident or has any further information.
