Man named after fatal stabbing
Terence Rogers
Police believe Mr Rogers was attacked inside his house
Police have named a man who was stabbed to death in Cheltenham.

Terence Henry Rogers, 53, died in hospital on 20 December after being found earlier in the day with fatal stab wounds.

A murder investigation has been launched and police have renewed their witness appeal.

Police believe Mr Rogers was attacked inside his house on Cromwell Road, Whaddon.

A total of six people have been arrested in connection with the investigation and were released on bail.

'Jigsaw'

Detective Inspector Marc Flannery said: "Mr Rogers' death is being treated as murder so it is vitally important that we gather as much information as possible about him.

"He had lived in the area for a long time and was a well-known local character.

"We are confident there are many more people out there who will be able to assist in this investigation.

"No matter how insignificant they might think the information they have about Mr Rogers is we would urge them to get in touch.

"It could well be the vital piece of the jigsaw that we are steadily piecing together."
