Afghan man held 'carrying bombs'
Officials in Afghanistan say that they have arrested a man carrying 20 home-made bombs, allegedly for the Taleban.

They say that the man was arrested in eastern Afghanistan, near the border with Pakistan.

They also said he did not have any travel documents, and that he was a Pakistani.

He was arrested in the Lalpura district, about 50 kilometres east of Jalalabad, the capital of the eastern Nangarhar province.

Correspondents point out that the region's frontiers are not clearly marked in places, and local people are able to move about without visas or passports.
