A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after a fire at a house in Manchester.
Fire crews were called to the house in Moss Side in the evening on Christmas Day.
On arrival, at about 2130 GMT, they found the fire well alight at the house in Dunsmore Close.
The woman was pulled from the living room, which is where the fire started.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester County Fire Service said the fire was confined to the living room, which was badly damaged.
The victim was later taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, where she was in a critical condition on Friday.
