Two badly hurt in head-on crash
Two men were seriously injured in a head-on car crash in Telford.

The accident happened just after midday on Tuesday, near the Newdale roundabout on Dawley Way, close to junction six of the M54.

The men, who are both in their 50s, were airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham with severe head injuries.

The collision between their BMW sports car and a Fiat Brava caused the road to be closed for more than four hours.

On Wednesday morning, one of the men was described as critical but stable, the other was said to be poorly but stable.

The Fiat driver was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and released after treatment for minor chest injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
