Police investigate indecent assault

Police in Jersey are investigating an alleged indecent assault on a teenage girl in St Helier.

The 16 year-old was found screaming by a police officer in the Havre des Pas area at about 1930 GMT on Tuesday.

The attacker has been described as a dark European man, about 5ft 5in tall with short dark hair.

He was wearing black corduroy jeans and a denim jacket and ran off in the direction of Cleveland Avenue.

Police are urging anyone who can help with their investigation to call them or the Crimestoppers line.
