Fatal assault victim named
A 25-year-old woman who was found with fatal head injuries in Ipswich on Tuesday has been named.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said she was Cara Martin-Brown, of Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich.

Officers are treating Miss Martin-Brown's death as murder.

She died in Ipswich Hospital after being found unconscious with serious head injuires in an alleyway off Alderman Road, close to Ipswich Town's Portman Road football ground, at about 0120 GMT on Tuesday.

A 21-year-old man arrested in connection with her death was still being questioned by detectives on Wednesday.

Police said they would like to hear from anyone who was in the Alderman Road area in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
