Murder inquiry after body found

A murder investigation is under way in Leeds after a man's body was discovered on a street in the early hours of Christmas Eve.

Police were called to Lindsay Road in Mabgate where they found the body of a man at around 0530 GMT.

Forensic experts are examining the scene, which is close to the both the city's market area and bus station.

An area of Lincoln Green Court has also been sealed off as officers investigate an earlier disturbance.

Three women have been arrested in connection with the incident, but police say "inquiries are actively on-going".
