Police are hunting a man in connection with two street robberies in south Manchester.
In the first attack, a woman got in her car outside the HSBC bank on Oxford Road near to the junction of Denmark Road at 2015 GMT on 10 December when the man opened her car door and grabbed her by the neck.
He pushed her back into her seat before threatening her and demanding her purse, before driving off along Oxford Road towards the city centre in a large dark saloon car.
Fifteen minutes later, a woman student was walking through Whitworth Park in Rusholme when the man grabbed her bag.
He punched her several times in the face and ran off over Oxford Road and along Hathersedge Road.
The man in both attacks is described as Asian, between 5 ft 9 in tall and 6 ft tall with a black beard and moustache with brown eyes.
He wore a black beanie style hat, a light jacket, a zipped fleece top and dark navy jeans.
