A man has been charged with murder after an incident at a working men's club in Greater Manchester on Monday.
Mark Brierley, 37, suffered serious head injuries at the club in Kirkholt, Rochdale and died later at Rochdale Infirmary.
The former carpet fitter, of Hilltop Drive, Kirkholt, had two sons, aged 14 and 10, and an 11-year-old daughter.
Glynn Ruddy, 23, of The Strand, Kirkholt, has been charged with his murder.
He appeared before Rochdale magistrates on Christmas Eve and was remanded in custody to appear before a crown court on 2 January.
