Teenager falls from balcony

Belfast City Council is looking into the incident

A 17-year-old girl has suffered head injuries after falling from a balcony in a Belfast nightclub.

She is being treated in hospital, but her condition is not thought to be life threatening.

The incident happened at about 0100 GMT on Tuesday.

The police have said they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

The incident is being investigated by Belfast City Council's Health and Safety Department.
