Vandals attack sports centre

Vandals have caused more than £2,000 damage to a sports centre in Berkshire.

The gang broke into the South Reading Leisure Centre in Northumberland Avenue, Whitley, between 1600 GMT on Monday and 0600 GMT on Tuesday.

They broke the poolside window, threw sports equipment into the pool and smashed two skylight windows.

Police have been unable to trace any witnesses to the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
