'Vomit' bug shuts wards
A hospital in Glasgow has closed three wards because of an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Nine elderly people are being treated for the virus in the Mansionhouse unit, an annexe of the Victoria Infirmary.

One ward was shut on Saturday and two others closed on Monday in the 222-bed unit, which serves as a half-way house for patients recovering from treatment.

A hospital spokesman said precautions had been put in place and the the bug "usually blows over" in 48 hours.
