E-fit issued of park attacker
E-fit of alleged attacker
Police say the e-fit is a good likeness of the man they are seeking
Police have issued an e-fit of a man who carried out a violent attack on a teenager in a Wrexham park.

The 18-year-old is recovering after she was grabbed and dragged across the road as she walked home alone in the early hours nine days ago.

The woman screamed and struggled with her attacker and he fled the scene.

North Wales Police, who have refused to say whether the attack was sexually motivated, have also issued a warning for people to take care when walking home from Christmas parties.

"This was a serious incident and we are very keen to hear from anyone with information," said Detective Inspector Neill Anderson of Wrexham CID.

Injured

"We believe this e-fit is a very good likeness of the man and would ask anyone who thinks they recognise him to get in touch with us as soon as possible."

"We would also remind everyone to take care when walking home from social events during the Christmas period," he added.

The attack occurred around 0300GMT on Sunday 14 December in the area of Acton Park, near the junction of Borras Park Road and Rhosnesni Lane in Wrexham.

The girl suffered minor injuries and was left very shaken by the incident.

Police say the attacker may have been injured during the struggle.

He is described as white, in his 40's or 50's, and of medium height and build. He is said to be bald with short grey hair on the sides.
