The wife and son of loyalist leader Johnny Adair have made a second appearance in court on drugs charges.

Gina and Jonathan Adair are among a group of six people who appeared at Bolton Crown Court on Tuesday.

Jonathan, aged 19, of Horwich, Bolton, appeared alongside 22-year-old Benjamin Dowie, also of Horwich.

The pair are charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine and the supply of class A drugs.

Mrs Adair, 37, is charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine.

Custody imposed

Karen Truesdale, 32, and a 13-year-old boy, both from Halliwell, Bolton, also appeared at the court facing drugs charges.

A sixth person, William Truesdale, 40, of Horwich, appeared in connection with the same offences.

Jonathan Adair was remanded in custody to appear at Bolton Crown Court again on 22 February 2004.

Mrs Adair was bailed to appear at the court on the same day.

Mrs Adair and her four children moved to Bolton in February with a number of other families to escape loyalist in-fighting in Belfast.
