Officer in double stabbing
A policewoman is in hospital after a double stabbing incident at her home.

Mother-of-two Fay Hurved suffered knife wounds to her neck, back and chest and is in a stable condition at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Her 52-year-old estranged husband Ian is also stable at Torbay Hospital after being found at the house with a knife embedded in his chest.

Officers investigating the incident are at their hospital bedsides, and they may be questioned later on Tuesday.

The stabbings happened at the officer's home in Dawlish, south Devon, on Sunday morning.

The incident was said by a police spokesman to have been domestic in nature.
