Man injured in gun attack

A 39-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being injured in a shooting incident in County Antrim.

It happened shortly after 1900 GMT on Monday in the Iona Park area of Newtownabbey.

The man answered a call to his front door were he was confronted by three masked men.

They pushed him into his living room and demanded the keys to his car.

When the man could not find his keys, he was shoved onto the floor and shot in the right leg.

The police say they are keeping an open mind about the incident.

They are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
