Arrest after man's death

The death of a man after an incident at a Greater Manchester working mens' club is being treated as suspicious.

Detectives were called to the club in Rochdale on Monday night after the death of the 37-year-old, who was from Kirkholt.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the incident at the Kirkholt Working Mens' Club at about 2130 GMT.

A post mortem examination of the victim's body was due to be carried out on Tuesday to establish how he died.

The arrested man, also from Kirkholt, is being held in custody at Rochdale police station where he is due to be interviewed.
