Body found in River Severn
A man's body has been found in the River Severn in Shrewsbury.

The body was discovered near the Severn Stars Pub at Coleham Head, just before midday on Monday.

The police are not believed to be looking for anyone else in connection with the discovery.

The dead man is thought to be in his 30s.

Officers carried out door-to-door inquiries during the afternoon and are trying to trace his movements from late on Sunday night through to Monday morning.

The coroner has been informed of the death.

More details are due to be released on Tuesday.
