Police are investigating the discovery of a man's body on mud flats at a lake in Cornwall.
A member of the public found the body at Kingsmill Lake in Saltash at about 1220 GMT on Monday.
Units from Devon and Cornwall Police attended the scene and officers brought the body to the shore with the assistance of Cornwall Fire Brigade as the tide was starting to come in.
Police are treating the death as unexplained and are attempting to identify the man.
No shoes
The body has been taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, where a post-mortem will be carried out.
Police are asking for help to identify the man and say he was white, 5ft 8in (1.70 metres) tall, 35 to 45-years-old, had a moustache and was of medium build.
He was wearing grey trousers and a white T-shirt underneath a red shirt.
When he was found, he was not wearing any shoes.
Police spokesman Pc Baxter Provin said: "It's possible that, being a tidal stretch of river, the body could have come from anywhere.
"If anybody, even from outside the Saltash area, thinks they recognise the description, then we want them to get in touch with us."
