Woman robbed during epileptic fit
A woman was robbed of her medication when she collapsed during an epileptic seizure while out Christmas shopping.

The 34-year-old woman became ill at about 0845 GMT on Monday close to the swimming pool in George Street, Corby.

When she came round she discovered her two bags, one containing medication and the other her handbag, had been stolen.

Northamptonshire Police said no-one had apparently come to the woman's aid when she starting fitting and then collapsed.

Epilepsy drugs stolen

She had been in the town centre to buy a few last-minute Christmas items.

The stolen epilepsy medication consisted of two boxes of Epilim tablets, one of 500gms and one of 200gms, and a box of the painkiller, Pethidine.

The other bag was a blue and white beach bag containing a blue denim purse and personal items.

The woman was uninjured in the incident.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Corby police.
