Man charged over death

A man has been charged with murder in connection with a suspicious death five years ago.

Kulwinder Singh Soor died shortly after he was found collapsed on Downing Drive in Leicester in February 1998.

The 31-year-old from Linford Street in Belgrave was found outside the Dove pub in Evington where he worked as a doorman.

Detectives arrested a 41-year-old man, who has now been charged with murder.

The man, who has not yet been named, will appear before Leicester Magistrates' Court on 23 December.

Another man, Narinder Lidar of Wintersdale Road in Thurnby Lodge, was previously convicted of the manslaughter of Mr Soor.
