Historic mill needs new roof
A last-ditch attempt has been made to save a historic mill in Mansfield from potential collapse.

Bath Mill is a Grade II listed building which needs thousands of pounds worth of restoration.

The current owners cannot afford to carry out urgent repairs.

Mansfield District councillors have backed handing over of ownership to the Nottinghamshire Preservation Trust in order for the mill to be saved.

Mansfield District Council has agreed to loan the trust £25,000 to install a temporary roof before the building deteriorates further.

Another £15,000 could be made available towards researching possible future uses for the premises.
