Police have sealed off a former village school near Lampeter, west Wales, believed to be the site of the murder of a 33-year-old woman.
Officers were called to the empty school building overlooking the village of Cellan following the discovery of blood stains in the yard.
The woman's body was found in a burned out car on Tuesday 150 miles away in Oxfordshire.
A 42-year-old man from Woodstock, Oxfordshire, is being questioned over the suspected murder.
Officers combed an area of rough land on the outskirts of the village of Woodstock after liaising with colleagues from Dyfed-Powys Police.
The woman's body was found in a field at the side of the A44, half a mile north of the village, at around 0815 GMT on Tuesday.
Three fields about five miles from Woodstock have been cordoned off by forensic officers who are continuing to examine the area.
The former school site near Cellan has also been cordoned off.
Although the body has not yet been identified, it is believed to be that of a woman who had recently returned from London to Lampeter where she has family.
A neighbour in the village said police moved into the area on Monday night.
"I went to bed at about 10.15 and I can see the yard and the school house from my pillow actually," she said.
"I heard two heavy vehicles go up the lane and a fleet of about four cars following quickly after it. The next things I saw was bright lights, flood lights, which I know to be the police."
Thames Valley Police confirmed that a 42-year-old man from the Woodstock area was arrested on Monday night on suspicion of attempted murder and is still in police custody.
