More details have been released about the raid on a North Yorkshire house in which a couple were locked in a cupboard.
The men, who were wearing masks, entered the house in Main Road at Burn near Selby at 1815 GMT on Monday.
They assaulted the man with a heavy metal object before binding the couple and locking them in the cupboard where they spent more than two hours before managing to escape.
Police say a large amount of cash was taken in sterling, euros and US dollars as well as jewellery, including a men's Rolex watch.
Also taken was a leather bag containing passports.
Police say both occupants of the house were severely shaken by the incident and the man suffered a broken hand.
