Funeral of carjack victim

June Everitt was trying to stop the car being stolen
The funeral took place on Monday of a woman who was run over as she tried to stop a carjacker.

Family and friends of June Everitt gathered at the Vale Crematorium in Stopsley, Bedfordshire, for the private funeral.

The 52-year-old from Luton had been unloading her shopping when a thief stole her car and dragged her about 20 yards along the ground

Miss Everitt suffered multiple injuries and died in hospital following the incident in Luton on Thursday 3 July.

Her black Renault Megane was recovered almost a week later two miles from her Ridgeway Road home.

Manny Davis, 30, of Artisan Crescent, St Albans, has been charged with her murder.
