Robbery at bookmakers
Police are appealing for information after robbers struck at a bookmakers in Northampton.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said the robbery took place at the shop in Lorne Road on Friday at 1730 GMT.

Two offenders kicked their way into the premises, where they restrained a female member of staff.

They then stole a quantity of cash from the safe.

One offender is described as a black male wearing dark clothing.

The second offender is also a black male wearing dark clothing. He also had dreadlocks.

Both offenders were wearing plastic surgical gloves.

Anybody who noticed something suspicious at the time of the incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police.
