Bus crash victim dies
An 87-year-old woman who was critically injured when a bus crashed through a shelter in Stoke-on-Trent has died.

Winifred George, from Walton near Stone, was injured along with four other people when the bus hit the shelter in Hanley on 8 November.

Mrs George suffered serious multiple injuries in the crash.

She died at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire over the weekend.

The incident happened when a single decker bus mounted the kerb and crashed into a glass screen which formed part of the bus shelter.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
