Firefighters have been battling to save an historic country house in Norfolk which caught fire just before 2200 GMT on Sunday.
Crews were called to Bramerton Hall in Bramerton near Norwich after reports of flames in the roof space.
At the height of the fire, 10 fire appliances and crews were called in from as far away as Beccles in Suffolk to help tackle the flames.
The entire roof of the building has been destroyed.
The family living in the privately-owned Hall escaped without injury.
On Monday morning there were four crews at Bramerton Hall still damping down the fire and an investigation has begun into its cause.
Bramerton Hall dates from the 15th Century and was owned by the Cory family until it was rebuilt by Henry Maudsley in 1882.
