Man badly beaten by gang
A Northampton man is in hospital with serious head injuries after being attacked by a gang in the town on Saturday night.

Police believe the 33-year-old man from Abington was beaten up by five men at a bus stop on the Kettering Road next to the junction with Grove Road at around 0245 GMT on Saturday morning.

He was taken to Northampton General Hospital where his condition is stable.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the five men involved in the attack all walked away from the scene in the direction of Abington Square, before three made off towards Exeter Place.

Shaved head

One is described as white, aged 20, and around 5 ft 10 in tall with short, dark hair which was shaved at the back and sides.

He was wearing indigo blue jeans and a dark three-quarter length jacket.

Another man was of similar build and height but was wearing a dark blue or black baseball cap and jeans.

The other three are described as white and in their 20s.

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police.
