Raids net guns and drugs
Police on Teesside have recovered tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs and weapons after raids on homes in Middlesbrough.

Officers raided two homes in the town, seizing heroin and amphetamines with an estimated street value of £50,000.

The operation also recovered an automatic pistol and an electric stun gun.

The raids led to five arrests at a house in Hornby Close in Middlesbrough.

A woman has been arrested at another address in the town.

Those arrested in the raids are aged between 18 and 60.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "Two men have been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and are due to appear before Teesside Magistrates on Monday.

"A further four people have been released on police bail pending further inquiries."
