'Huge responsibility'

"I went for parliament at the last General Election, but that was for another constituency, but I am back home in Bodmin now.
"It is a great opportunity and something I have been working for for a long time.
"It is a huge responsibility to be taking over the Liberal Democrat cause at the next General Election, but I am really looking forward to it."
Mr Tyler, 62 was elected as North Cornwall MP in 1992 and appointed Liberal Democrat spokesman on rural affairs, agriculture and transport.
He won the 2001 election with a 9,832 majority, and then became the Liberal Democrats' shadow leader of the House of Commons.
