Straw condemns bombings in Turkey
The UK foreign secretary Jack Straw has condemned the suicide bombings in Turkey, which have killed at least 20.

In a statement after the blasts Mr Straw said: "I utterly deplore and condemn this act of terrorism.

"Those responsible deserve nothing less than the contempt and condemnation of the entire international community", he added.

Mr Straw said he would pass on a message of condolence through his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gul.

The UK foreign secretary is in Washington for talks with US Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State, Colin Powell.
