Investigation into crash
Scene of the crash on the A38
The A38 near Bodmin Parkway was closed for nearly six hours
Investigations are continuing into an accident in Cornwall which left four people seriously injured.

The A38 was closed for nearly six hours after three cars collided close to Bodmin Parkway in the Glyn Valley at about midday on Saturday.

Three people were trapped inside their vehicles, with one car landing on its roof and another in a hedge.

The police helicopter airlifted one of the casualties to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

One driver who regularly uses the route, Tom Talputt, said the stretch of the A38 on which the accident took place was notorious.

"The road is fast by its nature and it is very winding and I don't know what they can do apart from major reconstruction.

"They have done some alterations recently, but that obviously doesn't seem enough."
