An investigation is under way after a member of the public discovered a body on a beach on the Isle of Wight.
The passer-by found the decomposed corpse in Alum Bay, near Freshwater, about 0815 GMT on Saturday.
A police spokesman said it is not yet known whether the body is male or female.
The Isle of Wight coroner has now been notified.
