Girl seriously hurt in crash
A teenage girl was fighting for her life in hospital on Saturday after a road accident.

The 15-year-old was taken to Royal Preston Hospital after she was struck by the vehicle in Whittle-le-Woods, near Preston.

Lancashire Police said she had just got off a double decker bus on the A6 when the incident happened.

The girl, who is from Astley Village, was said to be in a poorly condition in hospital on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 2208 GMT on Friday, to come forward.
