One dead, another hurt in crash

One driver is dead and another has been left seriously injured following a road crash.

A green Rover 820 collided with another car half a mile from the Devon border at Raymonds Hill, near Lyme Regis in Dorset, shortly before 1400 GMT on Friday.

The Rover driver was declared dead at the scene.

The other driver was airlifted to Exeter Hospital with severe leg injuries after being cut free from his vehicle by fire crews.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
