Funerals have taken place in Pakistan for three people killed in clashes with police that were sparked by the death of a man who tried to resist a robbery.
The funerals took place amid tight security near Bahawalnager in Punjab Province, 200km south-west of Lahore.
Hundreds of villagers had thrown rocks and set a police station on fire on Thursday after the robbers shot a cart driver.
Loudspeakers in mosques had urged villagers to join the demonstration.
Further protests were staged on Friday and the authorities cut off access to the town.
The area is now said to be calm.
