Accountant Carol Croydon, 37, is alleged to have killed businessman Philip Edward Croydon, 49, at the Hilton East Midlands Airport Hotel in Kegworth, Leicestershire in April 2003.
Staff found the body of Mr Croydon, of Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire, in the early hours of 19 April.
Mrs Croydon, who was a partner in her husband's upholstery business and lived at the same address, appeared before a judge at Leicester Crown Court on Friday.
