Student robbed at knifepoint
Police in Preston are hunting for a man who robbed a student while brandishing a knuckleduster, knife and baton.

The 17-year-old was approached in the Ribbleton area of the city on Thursday night.

It happened at about 2230 GMT when the teenager was walking along Pope Lane.

He was approached from behind by a man who asked if he had any money.

The man had a knuckleduster with a knife in one hand and a baton in the other.

Goatee beard

He forcibly reached into the student's pocket and took just £4.50 in loose change.

The man is described as white, aged in his twenties, thin and about six feet tall with a goatee beard.

He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a dark hooded top pulled up over his head, dark tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers with white stripes on the sides.

Police have appealed for information.
