Man dies in accident
One vehicle in crash was very badly damaged

A man has died following a road accident in County Londonderry.

Aaron Purcell, 19, from Ardina Road in Articlave was killed in the collision which involved two cars.

It happened on the Quilly Road between Coleraine and Articlave at about 0735 GMT on Friday.

The driver of the second car is being treated in the Causeway Hospital where he is said to be critically ill.

A total of 139 people have died in road accidents in Northern Ireland so far this year.

Police in Coleraine are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
