Man held after fatal crash
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal car crash in Liverpool.

A man in his 20s was thrown from his Peugeot car after it collided with an Audi A3 travelling along Queens Drive.

The Audi had been travelling towards the Allerton area of the city when the crash happened at the junction with Dovedale Road, Mossley Hill, at about 0230 GMT on Friday.

The driver of the Audi - a 26-year-old man from Walton - was arrested.

He is suspected of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop.

Queens Drive and Dovedale Road were still closed at 0800 GMT and motorists were warned to expect delays.
