Road plans go on display

Traffic levels in the area have increased greatly recently
Plans for a new link road in Devon go on display in the county on Friday.

The new road is proposed for the eastern side of Exeter.

The plans follow significant economic growth on that side of the city in recent years.

The proposals are for a road joining Ambassador Drive and Pinhoe Road.

Traffic levels in the area have increased greatly following the establishment of big new businesses in the area, including the move of the Met Office from Bracknell and EDF Energy.

Both Devon County Council and Exeter City Council see the plans as high priority.

The authorities say it would relieve traffic problems associated with Pinn Lane.

The plans going on show at Hall Church in Pinhoe will give residents an idea of exactly what is planned.
