Boy abducted by gang
Police in Greater Manchester are investigating after a boy was abducted by a gang of men.

The 11-year-old boy was locked in to the boot of a car in Oldham on Wednesday before the men released him unharmed.

He was grabbed as he left Breeze Hill School in Roxbury Avenue at about 1510 GMT.

Greater Manchester Police are trying to trace a woman who saw the men release the boy from the boot about 10 minutes later, in Lees Road, Oldham.

Pushing pram

The boy told officers he was abducted by the men after noticing them sitting in a green Fiat Punto as he walked out of the school's gates.

As he walked past the car two of the men got out and forced him in to the boot before driving off.

He was then ordered out of the car close to Avalon Nursing in Lees Road before the car was driven off.

In a statement police said: "As the boy was released from the boot a woman with a pram was walking along Lees Road, near to where the car stopped.

"We are eager to speak to this woman, as she may be able to help officers identify the offenders."

The woman was white, fairly young, with blond straight hair. She is believed to have been wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.

Other witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should contact Oldham CID.
