Boss Swap transfers the Wife Swap format into the office
Filming ended early on an episode of upcoming Channel 4 series Boss Swap after one participant quit the show and his "swap" was forced out by staff.

The series, from the makers of Wife Swap, follows two managers as they swap roles for a fortnight.

But car dealer Mike Porritt walked out nine days into filming and his employees forced the man in his job, estate agent Bruce Burkitt, to leave.

Channel 4 said: "The programme will go out in the New Year as planned."

It was one of three episodes in the series, which mirrors Wife Swap by enabling participants to implement their own rules in their temporary new offices.

Mr Porritt sacked Mr Burkitt's wife Debbie before leaving the estate agency, while Mr Burkitt said working in the car dealership was "a nightmare".

Programme maker RDF Media said: "We deliberately chose contrasting jobs so they could each learn something from the other firm.

"The fact that a participant walked out makes it more interesting in some ways."
