The killing happened near Castlewellan
Eight people arrested in connection with the murder of a man in County Down have been released without charge.

Police questioned them about the shooting of Matthew Burns in February 2002 but released all eight on Wednesday.

Mr Burns, 26, was shot dead as he sat in a car outside Castlewellan in February 2002.

He was shot in the back and died at the scene.

Mr Burns' brother was injured in the shooting.
